The BMW 1 Series (E81/E87 and E82/E88 models) is a compact car produced by the German automaker BMW since 2004. The 1 Series is the only vehicle in its class featuring rear-wheeel drive, 50:50 weight balance, a longitudinally-mounted engine and an advanced aluminum multilink suspension. It is currently BMW's second best-selling automobile, accounting for nearly one-fifth of the total sales in 2008.

The six-cylinder petrol model and the strongest diesel version come with a 17-inch light alloy spoke as standard. In total, nine different wheel rims between 16 and 18 inches are available for the BMW 1 Series.

Ultrasound sensors measure the distance between your 1 Series and any nearby object that might obstruct it. Having detected an obstacle, your vehicle sounds a warning signal. A visual signal is also displayed on the navigation system's monitor.
