B M W 1 series (3 door)
The BMW 1 Series (E81/E87 and E82/E88 models) is a compact car produced by the German automaker BMW since 2004. The 1 Series is the only vehicle in its class featuring rear-wheeel drive, 50:50 weight balance, a longitudinally-mounted engine and an advanced aluminum multilink suspension. It is currently BMW's second best-selling automobile, accounting for nearly one-fifth of the total sales in 2008.
The exterior of the BMW 1 Series (three door).
The side profile of the BMW 1 Series (three-door) is pure racing car. The elongated doors and frameless windows maximise the car’s sporting appeal while the passenger compartment is set far back, drawing the eye immediately to the rear axle. The car’s more dramatic side skirts further underline its dynamism, inviting you to open the door and take a seat.
The interior of the BMW 1 Series (three door).
The interior of the BMW 1 Series (three-door) recalls the look of a racing car cockpit. The steering wheel and gearstick sit perfectly in the hand and ensure gear changes and steering are as thrillingly precise and direct. The quality-focused approach to design extends to even the smallest details. The larger glove compartment offers increased storage options while the dashboard is clearly laid out. What’s more, all functions can be operated intuitively, leaving the driver free to concentrate on the important things - like enjoying the ride.

Wheels and tyres on the BMW 1 Series (three-door).
The sporting character of the BMW 1 Series is expressed in its range of wheel rims. With the exception of the BMW 130i and 123d, all BMW 1 Series models are equipped with 16-inch steel wheels as standard. The six-cylinder petrol model and the strongest diesel version come with a 17-inch light alloy spoke as standard. In total, nine different wheel rims between 16 and 18 inches are available for the BMW 1 Series.

Paint finishes on the BMW 1 Series (three-door).
The BMW 1 Series is available in 12 paint finishes, ranging from Alpine White non-metallic to Sapphire Black metallic. Choose from classics such as Titanium Silver metallic or Carmine Red non-metallic or contemporary shades such as Patagonia Green metallic or Montego Blue metallic. Each paint finish lends the BMW 1 Series its own individual character, and in combination with the upholstery and interior colour options, few BMW 1 Series are the same.

Park Distance Control (PDC) on the BMW 1 Series (three-door).
Take the stress out of parking. The optional Park Distance Control (PDC) makes it easier to park and manoeuvre in narrow spaces. Ultrasound sensors measure the distance between your 1 Series and any nearby object that might obstruct it. Having detected an obstacle, your vehicle sounds a warning signal. A visual signal is also displayed on the navigation system's monitor.

Flexible stowage space in the BMW 1 Series (three-door).
The BMW 1 Series might be compact, but it's got room for all your requirements. Its rear-seat backrest can fold down 60:40, and the flexible boot provides up to 1,150 litres of stowage space.

True perfection is revealed by the details. The wing mirrors can be adjusted electronically at the touch of a button and, like the windscreen wiper jets, they are heated. Included in the exterior mirror package are the automatic threshold and mirror memory systems.
